I am finally back from my blogging hiatus, and what a sweeter way to resume this adventure than with a brand new recipe!Read More »
Welcome back everyone and most of all, welcome Spring! This morning marked the official start of Spring, with the Spring equinox, and I couldn’t be more excited!
Anyway, having immigrated to a new city, new country and new continent 8 months ago, hubby and I have tried our best to integrate ourselves and take part in as much as we can in town. One of these events was the day we experienced the Carnaval Biarnès.
Something I promised to share with you was my experience in applying for a Titre de Séjour in France, so that is exactly what I am going to do! I know that during the application phase I spent a lot of time reading up about other people’s experience on the matter and trying to gather some insight, so I figured I would return the favour.
I’m back and as promised I have been preparing my blog posts on the various things that have taken place lately, starting with the light show at the Château de Pau.
It has been a while since I have been here so; merry Christmas, happy new year, happy carnival and happy Chinese new year! Phew.
Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I must say that I can’t believe how long it has been since my last post. It has definitely been a busy couple of months, and then once it all started to calm down, I felt as if I was lost for words and wasn’t quite sure where to begin.
Here is what has happened since the last time I was here:
December is here! I absolutely love this time of year. Christmas is 3 weekends away and I couldn’t be more excited. I am crazy about the month of December. Christmas decorations, Christmas food, quality time with the family… What more could you want?
There are so many things I love to spend my time with during these weeks leading up to Christmas, and now that we are having a wintery Christmas (which I am very excited about!), there are a bunch of new crafts and ideas too. Everything from trying new Christmas recipes, to warm drinks, knitting winter goodies, walking the streets and looking at wonderful Christmas decorations and just all sorts of Christmas crafts.
It’s been a while since I have been here. I found myself studying for my end of year university exams and then got caught up in a cycle.
I have been meaning to come back here and post something for a while, and then last week Friday, tragedy struck Paris.
So, it’s time for another dream destination (and believe me, there are so many more to come!). This month’s destination is Italy and I really don’t think that a blog post could do this little gem justice.
So it’s been a while since I have been around. With exams creeping up on me, I seem to be losing track of the time that I have to split between all of my daily activities.
With that in mind, I wrote my first exam this week and have only 4 left to go!
Tonight, as I sit here just before bed, I thought I would just post a quick update on my 101 in 1001 challenge. Tuesday marked 1 month since I started the challenge, so here goes!
Just last night I realised that it has been just over a month since I started blogging and I must say, I am having a blast!
I had tried starting a blog before in which I had only written one post and I had abandoned it soon after that said post.
However, I don’t think I could have chosen a better time to start his blog. I feel like I have so much to share, plus an extra hobby never hurt anyone. So starting Lady Turned Madame felt great, but I didn’t have any expectations. I wasn’t sure anyone would read it, let alone like it! Needless to say, when I got a notification yesterday from Tricia, nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award, I was not only taken by surprise, but just downright stunned.
